Profhilo is an injectable aesthetic treatment made from a highly purified form of hyaluronic acid. Unlike traditional dermal fillers, it isn’t designed to add volume or reshape specific facial features. Instead, it spreads beneath the skin after injection and works by deeply hydrating the tissue and stimulating the skin’s natural production of collagen and elastin. Because of this “bio-remodelling” effect, it’s often used to improve overall skin quality rather than target isolated lines or folds.

The treatment is commonly used on areas such as the face, neck, décolletage, and sometimes the hands, where skin laxity or crepiness is starting to show. Patients typically receive a small number of injection points per area, and the product then diffuses evenly. Over the following weeks, the skin can appear smoother, firmer, and more hydrated, with results that build gradually rather than appearing instantly. It’s usually done as a course of treatments, followed by maintenance sessions every few months depending on individual skin needs.
